An opportunity has arisen for recent graduates to get valuable insights, practical knowledge and proffessional experience in an exciting and dynamic environment. Marondera Rural District Council is looking for Human Resources and Administration Graduate Trainees.

GRADUATE TRAINEES: HUMAN RESOURCES AND ADMINISTRATION [X2]

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • ensure the timely delivery of agendas, notices, minutes and other correspondences to councillors and relevant ministries and NGOs in accordance with statutory requirements.

  • Arrange and call for staff meetings.

  • Meetings minute taking.

  • Give new members of staff preliminary induction.

  • Co-ordinate induction programme for new staff and ensure its successful completion.

  • Indentify training needs and recommended staff eligible for training.

  • Identify relevant training courses for the development of council staff.

  • Facilitates seminars for council staff and councillors.

  • Administaer leave days records and ensure that they are up to date.

  • Assist in payroll processing.

  • Preparing and submitting monthly development reports on a monthly basis.

  • Ensure activities of other departments are well coordianted.

  • Any other duties assigned by the super

 

Person Specification:

  • Human Resources Management Degree, Local Governance, Development Studies or any other related Social Science Degree.

  • Degree class 2.1 or better.

  • Ability to work with minimum supervision.

  • Team player.

  • Good communication skills (written and oral).

  • Computer literate.

  •
