Applications are invited from suitably qualified, experienced, self-motivated and task- oriented individuals to fill the above position that has arisen within Marondera Rural District Council.
(1) ASSISTANT INTERNAL AUDITOR [GRADE 8]
KEY RESULT AREAS
- Assisting in the development of the Internal Audit Plan in line with the Internal Audit Charter.
- Supporting the planning, organizing, and execution of day-to-day internal audit
activities, ensuring that all work is conducted with due diligence. - Collaborating with External Auditors and the Auditor General’s Office to facilitate
effective service delivery and assist in addressing identified issues. - Participating in quality assessments and control checks on final internal audit reports to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Assisting in the preparation of internal audit reports.
- Assisting in monitoring and evaluating compliance with statutory and regulatory
- Participating in periodic reviews of the Internal Audit Manual and suggesting
- Conducting research on new ideas and approaches for the Internal Audit function.
- Any other duty as assigned by the supervisor or Head of the Department.
QUALIFICATIONS AND ATTRIBUTES
- Bachelor’s Degree in Auditing, Accounting or Finance.
- Part Professional Qualification(s) for CIA, ACCA, CGI (Z) and CIMA or better will be an added advantage.
- 2 years working experience in local government or public sector.
- Clear understanding of accounting principles, International Public Sector Accounting Standards.
- Excellent report writing, presentation, and communication skills
- At least 25 years old.
(2). ASSISTANT PLANNING TECHNICIAN [GRADE 8].
KEY RESULT AREAS
- Production of layout plans for business centres.
- Pegging of stands at designated areas.
- Production of Annual Development and Rolling Plans.
- Development Control within Marondera District.
- Communal Village Mapping and Issuance of Communal Land Permits.
- Assist in the Development of Local Plans and Excision of Communal Land.
- Land Management and Lease Management.
- Enforcement of relevant statutes and regulations.
- Facilitating the resolution of land disputes.
- Conducting site inspections and feasibility assessments for proposed developments.
- Preparation and maintenance of stand registers.
QUALIFICATIONS AND ATTRIBUTES
- Diploma in Rural or Urban planning.
- Distinct computer skills such as Autocad and GIS.
- At least 5 years post qualification experience.
- Local government experience is an added advantage.
- A clean record of service within the Local government fraternity.
- Clean class 4 driver’s licence.
